All of our silver jewellery is made from Sterling Silver. 925. Sterling Silver will tarnish with time and wear. Exposure to salty air, chlorine, sulphur, humidity, perspiration, cosmetics, household bleach and other strong chemicals will accelerate the tarnishing.

 

To help prevent tarnishing try the following tips:

 

Wear it often as our skin’s natural oils will help keep silver jewellery shiny.

Remove when showering, bathing or swimming in pools, hot tubs, hot springs and the ocean.

​

Remove when carrying out household chores as the chemicals found in many cleaning products will accelerate tarnishing.

​

Put your jewellery on last as lotions, makeups, hair spray and perfumes will all accelerate tarnishing.

After you remove your jewellery wipe with a soft cloth prior to storing and store in a cool, dry, dark place.

 

To clean your Sterling Silver Jewellery firstly wash in soap and water then blot dry on paper towels. Finally polish it frequently with a soft dry cloth to avoid tarnish (do not use silver dip). Ideally, use a specially impregnated silver polishing cloth.
